.What is this?
.17776 is a long, multi-media narrative written by Jon Bois that speculates on a future featuring immortal humans, sentient space satellites, and football. On April 7th, 2026, humans stop dying and being born. Nobody knows how or why, and so, people look for ways to find meaning within their strange lives.
Over the course of thousands of years, sports start to become very weird and convoluted as well, and many humans find themselves playing complicated games of football with all kinds of confusing rules. It's a very interesting and philisophical story, that delves into a world where people are stuck with the inevitable question of what to do with their newfound infinite time. One of the ways that they spend that time includes playing strangely complex games of football. And even if you don't have any interest in football yourself, you may still enjoy it.
.So
I'm still trying to piece this together. But you mentioned satellites? What does that have to do with any of this?
Yes! Sentient ones. I mean, after you've been floating around in space for so many years, you're bound to gradually pick up various signals and radio waves. These satellites learn all kinds of stuff over the course of time. You'll have to just read the story for all of the details.
.read it read it read it read it read it its SO GOOD
By the way, it also has a sequel known as 20020. I highly recommend you check that out as well once you finish 17776. Like Juice said, they're both great reads.
hell yeah they are

and while you're here, let me also take a brief moment to talk about the virtually endless possibilities of lunchables, and how the typical cafeteria food became a staple of

Anyways, go give it a read. I wouldn't want to spoil much else for you besides the general synopsis, after all.
